The Rheumatology and Immunology Department of Peking University Shenzhen Hospital was founded in 2006, and has long been committed to the diagnosis, treatment, and research of rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren's syndrome, inflammatory myopathy, systemic sclerosis, and vasculitis. It closely follows domestic and foreign diagnosis and treatment guidelines and research hotspots, and has repeatedly become one of the top 100 departments in "Chinese Hospital Science and Technology Value (STEM) - Rheumatology and Autoimmunology" and "Medical Information China Hospital Influence Ranking".
The department has a total of 45 medical and research personnel, 44 hospital beds, 5 outpatient clinics, and an annual number of visits of about 50000. Establish specialized clinics for rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gouty arthritis, immunological abortion, and other diseases.
The team members rely on the Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Inflammation and Immunological Diseases and the Institute of Inflammation and Immunology at Peking University Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Medical Center, focusing on rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and systemic lupus erythematosus as their main diseases, and conducting relevant clinical and basic research in the following directions: 1 Research on biomarkers for immune and inflammatory diseases and their clinical translational applications; 2. Research on the immune imbalance mechanism and key targets of immune and inflammatory diseases; 3. The application and clinical translation of natural products and their analogues in immune and inflammatory diseases; 4. Cell therapy for immune and inflammatory diseases; 5. Clinical cohort studies.
